Take a look at your local police or sheriff’s dept. website- you’ll find incident logs, inmate rosters and other local information. If they have nothing to hide- why wouldn’t they be more open with local information? Local papers have no sense of curiosity, maybe they don’t hire investigative reporters… What does it take to get a press credential?
